    I’ve always thought that the idea that there could be no minimum wage to be a bit absurd. Sure – American could have 0% unemployment because the market could offer jobs at .50$ an hour and someone would be fool enough to take it. What good does that do anyone, however, even the person who is making the individual choice to work that job? It’s an ideological argument that has no concern for pragmatic ramifications.

    A more fruitful discussion might exist on whether or not municipalities or states should be raising their minimum wages to a certain level (15$, for example).
