To the Rain: Thank you for being wonderful. Thank you for letting me wear my rain boots, and splash across campus while my less-prepared friends slog through your puddles. Thank you clearing the view of the mountains and washing our fair city of its layer of car exhaust. Thank you for bringing the flowers. The mist on my face as I head to class reminds me that there is something beyond the half-done problem set sitting on my desk or the office hours in my future. You remind me of home and of the seasons that seldom make it this far south. Thank you for your visit. I’ll miss you when you’re gone.
